How this works

Boalha.com ranks individual players when sides change every week. Record each match, assign teams, and everyone earns the points, form, and goal difference they played for — even if they never share a line-up twice.

Getting started

  1. Create a group — you become the Owner and get a public overview page for rankings and match history.
  2. Add players — the people who turn up for your weekly games.
  3. Record matches — set the date, score, captains if you use them, and who played on each team.
  4. Watch the table update — points, wins, draws, losses, goals, form, and goal difference are calculated per player for the current season.

How points are given

Each completed match awards points to every player based on their team’s result — not on a fixed group side.

  • Win 3 points
  • Draw 1 point
  • Loss 0 points

Goals for / against are taken from the match score for the team you played on. Goal difference (GD) is goals scored minus goals conceded across your matches.

Leaderboard order is total points first, then goal difference if points are level, then name. Players tied on points and GD share the same rank.

Form shows recent results (W / D / L) from your last matches, so you can see who’s hot without looking only at the season total.

Overview highlights

The group overview surfaces three headline awards. They only appear once there is enough match data, so early seasons don’t show misleading winners.

Top player

The player currently first on the season leaderboard (most points, then best goal difference). Needs at least 3 completed match results in the season before it is shown.

Best form

The player with the most points across their last up to 5 matches. If two players are level on those points, the better goal difference in that same stretch wins. To qualify, a player must have played in at least 2 of the group’s last 5 completed matches. The highlight also needs at least 3 completed match results in the season before it is shown.

Player of the month

Awarded for a calendar month once that month has at least 3 completed matches in the season. Winners are ranked by points earned that month (after any penalties), then goal difference. Ties can produce more than one player of the month. On the overview, last month’s award is shown when it qualifies; past months appear on the seasons / awards views.

Seasons

Each group runs seasons so standings can reset without deleting history. One season is current at a time; older seasons stay available for leaderboards and match history.

Tracked seasons build the table automatically from match results.

Manual seasons let you enter a fixed ranking (for example when bringing in an older competition). Best form and automatic match-based highlights do not apply the same way on manual seasons.

Group roles & sharing

Groups are private workspaces with a public face for rankings. Members are invited by email from group settings. Rights control who can change data versus who can only view.

Owner

The person who created the group. Full control over settings, billing, seasons, members, invites, players, and matches — including deletes. The original Owner cannot be removed by someone with Full rights.

Full rights

Same day-to-day power as the Owner for running the group: invite and manage members, settings, billing, seasons, and create, edit, or delete players and matches. Use this when you trust someone to co-run the group.

Manage rights

Can create and update players and matches so the table stays current. Cannot delete players or matches, change group settings, manage seasons, invite members, or access billing.

Player

Membership without editing powers — useful if you later expand member-only features. Public rankings and match history remain visible on the group’s public pages either way.

From settings, Owners and Full-rights members can share the group by inviting an email as Full rights or Manage rights. Pending invites count toward your member limit until accepted or revoked.

Point penalties

When recording a match you can optionally deduct points from a player (for example for missing without notice). Penalties reduce that player’s season total and also count against their monthly totals for player of the month.

Public group pages

Every group has a public overview, leaderboard, match history, and seasons list. Anyone with the link can follow the table; only members with the right role can edit. Suspended groups are hidden from public browsing.
